AGM 2021

St John's and Christ Church Annual General Meeting 2021

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) and the Annual Vestry Meeting for Election of Churchwardens will take place, via Zoom, on Wednesday 21st April, starting at 8pm. We informally refer to these two meetings together as the AGM.

Attending the AGM

You are eligible to vote at the APCM if you attend the meeting and are on the electoral roll. We are using an electronic voting system, so in order to vote you must do the following:

  1. Register an email address: you must register no later than Tuesday 20th April, by sending an This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. saying you wish to vote and telling us your email address. Couples and family members must register individually with different email addresses. 
    If you do not register, you will not be able to vote. Everyone must register, even if you are already on one of the church email lists.
  2. Be able to access emails during the meeting: you must be able to receive and act on emails during the APCM. This doesn't have to be on the same device that you are using to attend the meeting.

The email address you supply will only be used to enable voting at the APCM and will not be kept after the meeting.

The agenda, the 2020 Annual Report and Summary Accounts, the Minutes of the 2020 AGM and full accounts  are available to download from the Resources Tab (you must be logged in as a Member to view these). Paper copies will not be available.

Standing for PCC

Business includes the election of lay representatives to the PCC. In order to stand for PCC, you must have been on the electoral roll for six months and have a proposer and seconder. You can download nomination forms here. Please fill in the form, take a photograph of it and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (PCC Secretary). Please also ask your proposer and seconder to email Cath to confirm their support. Paper forms will not be available this year.

We are asking everyone who is standing for PCC to write a short (100 word) biography explaining who you are and why you wish to stand. This is optional but will help people make an informed decision if a vote is required. This should also be emailed to Cath.
