The first thing you need to know about the Christ Church Greenbank weekend away 2021 is that we’re not going away anywhere and it doesn’t last for a weekend! COVID sadly spoilt our plans for that. For a ‘proper’ weekend away I’m afraid you’ll have to wait until next year. But we’ve still got some exciting plans for the 3rd and 4th July so we hope you can join us.
On Saturday 3rd July we’ll be meeting at St John’s Church Centre (in the middle of Hartford, CW8 1NP) for a morning of brilliant Bible teaching for the whole family from 9:15am – 12:15pm. There’ll be two main sessions, plenty of tea and coffee, plus a creche and groups for kids years R-9. After that there’ll be a ‘bring your own’ lunch and afternoon activities for the whole family. In the evening we’ll be having a Q and A session with our main speaker (see below) at Christ Church from 8:00pm – 9:30pm.
During our main sessions the adults will be taught by Sam Allberry. Sam is a minister and author who goes around the world teaching the Bible. He’ll be helping us to see what the Bible says to us about our bodies, the God who made them and how our sin affects them. At the same time our kids will be taught by a team led by Alec and Leah Ham. Alec and Leah used to be part of Christ Church before moving to a church on the Wirral.
On Sunday 4th July Sam will be preaching for us at our 10:30am and 4:00pm services and they would be great services to invite your friends along to.
Everything during the weekend is completely free, you can get involved with as much or as little as you like and we would love for as many people to join us as possible. However, to help our organising it would be really helpful to know who will be with us on Saturday morning. To book your place please sign up below.
(We will comply with whatever COVID guidelines are in place at the time, and if it turns out that numbers are required to be limited then people will be invited on a first come first served basis.)
